How to Live Life Abundantly All Summer Long!
"Bless the Lord, O my soul, and forget not all his benefits."

Have you read the fine print of what Jesus offers in a relationship with him? It's crazy good and I cannot believe we have such an amazing abundant life on offer as a free gift! If you feel like your days could be a little brighter, let me remind you of what the abundant life is and how you can take a hold of it NOW!
1. J O Y
Psalm 16:11 says, "In Your presence is fullness of joy." To experience the fullness of joy in life--you won't find it in a material possession, a relationship or an experience. You can search all you want and experience temporary happiness, but to get the good stuff--lasting joy--that can withstand the toughest of circumstances, you will only find it in the presence of the Lord. Yes, after receiving Jesus as Lord and Savior--His Holy Spirit is present with you at all times, but it is in seeking Him that you will experience this abundance of joy. Time spent thinking about the Lord, talking to him, reading the Word, and worshipping him in song is where you will feel that bubbling up of joy from deep within that is just unexplainable! It's greater than any gift you could receive--JOY is the best and it's on offer anytime all the time!
2. L O V E
Ephesians 3:19 says, "and to know the love of Christ that surpasses knowledge." Abundant life is knowing and believing your truest identity is immeasurably loved! This truth has to penetrate your head and inform your heart so that you not only know it, but feel it all the time. When you can walk in this great love, fear doesn't have a chance to rob you of peace. You know you are loved and that God has literally "got you!" Look at the cross and Jesus' nail pierced hands and know he did it for you. He loves you.
3. B L E S S E D
Jeremiah 17:7 says, "Blessed is the one who trusts in the Lord." Did you make a decision to trust Jesus as Lord and Savior? Then you can call yourself BLESSED! Yes, that's the only qualification for living in the abundance of blessing...trusting in Jesus...at salvation and daily. Just believe his Word, trust him, and live it out. You have no idea all the good things God has in store for those who love him!! Abundant life is unlocked at the rate of your trust in him!
4. P U R P O S E D
Psalm 138:8 says, "The Lord will fulfill His purpose for me." You were created on purpose, with purpose and for a great purpose! Living abundantly happens when you embrace this truth and enjoy the journey with the Lord towards your Promised Land! You may not know what His special purpose is for you, but as you have fun daily following the Lord, He will reveal that unique purpose that was ONLY created for you!!! You have a unique set of gifts, talents and traits and God planned a purpose with all of that in mind! Go find out and enjoy the best adventure of your life!
5. U N S T O P P A B L E
Job 42:2 says, "I know that you can do all things, no plan of yours can be thwarted." Did you read that carefully? When your plan for your life is surrendered to His plan--nothing can stop it! Wow, that's super empowering! If you feel like God is leading you down a path or shown you part of His plan and you feel like roadblocks come up to try and block it--you can live abundantly when you tell those roadblocks--"You aren't stopping God's plan!" That's right, just look at the cross--what the devil intended for harm, God used to bring about salvation! So don't ever get discouraged when you feel like something is standing in the way of the dream God put on your heart--it is probably going to be the "thing" that launches you forward!!
6. S T R E N G T H
2 Timothy 4:17 says, "The Lord will stand with you and give you strength." Living abundantly doesn't mean YOU have to be strong all the time. No, when you fully live in the abundance that God offers, you learn how to rest in His strength. Yep, you don't have to be Superwoman...you just have to learn how to do things in God's strength which never runs out. How? The power lies in taking action on His Word. Trusting in God and not relying on your own understanding, choosing love and forgiveness instead of anger and hate, going to God for wisdom instead of trying to figure it all out yourself....things like this. Yes it takes time to learn how to do this, but so does going to the gym and learning to lift weights. Faith is a muscle and the more you practice, the stronger it gets...and the stronger you will be...in His strength!
