You Are Jesus’ Ambassador!!!
Something amazing happened to me two days ago….something miraculous…something unthinkable…something that I will cherish forever…and it all started with a pair of earrings… yes, some Hidden Truth Jewelry earrings.
I had an hour to run errands between shuffling kids from activity to activity and one of those errands was picking up my husband’s dry cleaning.
As I was paying the bill, the attendant complimented me on the black and gold earrings I was wearing. And as I normally respond, I quickly slipped them off and told her, “well, let me show you the best part about them!”
I simply read the verse that was inscribed on the back…..Psalm 104:33 which reads, “I will sing praises to the Lord as long as I live.”
Immediately, the young lady was impacted by God’s Word and she wanted to know where she could get a pair. But what she didn’t realize at the time, it wasn’t the pretty earrings that attracted her, but the God that created her and who loves her so passionately that was calling her home.
These simple earrings spurred on a conversation about Jesus Christ and after an amazing 30 minute conversation right there in the dry cleaners parking lot, with tears rolling down her eyes, she realized that Jesus Christ was the only one who could give her the love that she so desperately wanted and carry her burdens that were weighing her down so much and making her feel suffocated.
And we both held hands and she surrendered her life to Jesus Christ and received him into her heart as Lord and Savior!
Friends, you and me are Christ’s ambassadors….we are Jesus’ hands and feet. He wants to use us…he doesn’t have to but wants to because he loves us and knows that it is for our benefit and joy!! All we have to do is be available!!
If we have a willing heart, open eyes and ears, he will bring people into our life who need His LOVE! And he can use anything (like a pair of earrings) in the hands of His children to bring his lost sheep back into the fold of precious flock!
Isaiah 55:11 says,
“so is my word that goes out from my mouth: It will not return to me empty,but will accomplish what I desire and achieve the purpose for which I sent it.”
I firmly believe that God’s word is ALIVE and ACTIVE and when spoken, the Holy Spirit will use it to bring forth what it is set out to accomplish. It is not our job to worry about the results, but it IS our job to be obedient. If we speak His Word, if we speak His truth, God will bring fruit.
God’s Word will NOT return void. What an exciting truth to think about! And that is one of the main reasons I created this jewelry line….I wear a necklace and earrings every day in hopes that someone will comment and I get to show them the Hidden Truth, read it out loud and then leave the rest up to the Lord and let Him do what He does best with His Word!
Now it’s your turn…..Are you willing to be available for God each day? It could be in the drive thru at Chick fil a or even at WalMart... it could be at the baseball field or on the tennis court. It could even be with your waitress at dinner. Anywhere you go each day, I challenge you to slow down just a little bit….and LOOK to see if God is putting an opportunity in front of you. Maybe he just wants you to share with someone how much He loves them…how He created them uniquely and with purpose.
People are desperate for love and you could be the person to deliver the gift of that love to them!!!
